Blake Twigden's Bird Park

Visited a wonderful Bird Park in Whitford  a week ago. What a treat.  The birds were plentiful and varied.  Blake showed us through his large avairy, feeding the different birds as we walked through. He also had 2 turtles  and two lizards. When asked if he had any frogs, he didnt comment but later in the morning appeared with a frog that he had caught in another area. My photos dont do justice to the birds, but I will share them anyway.

Waihi Surf Lifesaving Competitions

 Spent a lovely few hours with friends taking photos of "Guys and Gals" racing

 to see who was the "Best"

The sun was soooo hot, but the company was great.

These are the wonderful people that man our Coastal Beaches and do their best to keep us safe during the Summer months.
